The Journal of Southeast Asian Education is an official scholarly publication of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO). The primary goal of this international journal is to give information and analyses to aid in policymaking and planning for the region’s countries. This joint publication (SEAMEO and University of Tsukuba, Japan) encourages the sharing of ideas on educational topics and comparative studies for students, instructors, researchers, and lecturers on regional and global platforms. Each article was prepared to provide readers with an overview of how education systems and advocacy were designed and executed, particularly in establishing national capacities. The SEAMEO Secretariat issued the first issues of the Journal of Southeast Asian Education in July 2000.
