he SPAFA Journal is an Open Access journal of the SEAMEO SPAFA based in Bangkok, Thailand. It carries original research papers and multimedia articles on archaeology, visual arts, performing arts, traditional arts, heritage conservation and cultural heritage of Southeast Asia. The SPAFA Journal is indexed in Scopus and the Directory of Open Access Journals, among others.
This volume contains the majority of papers published in the SPAFA Journal between 2017 and 2019. During this time, the journal transitioned into an online Open Access model, to meet the needs for a growing number of regional scholars looking for an avenue for publication. The journal produces one volume a year; submissions are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis, and new papers are published online throughout the year. Since 2019, the journal has been indexed in Scopus.
