This book documents the experiences that were gathered in project DELSILIFE, Development of a Coordinated Educational Intervention System for Improving the Quality of Life of the Rural Poor through Self-Reliance. The project was carried out by the SEAMEO INNOTECH for the South-East Asian Ministers of Education Organization. Part I explains the principles and characteristics of the DELSILIFE intervention system, discussing a number of theoretical aspects pertinent to the development of the model and touching upon critical issues met during project implementation. Part II presents findings of the evaluation studies carried out in three pilot villages.
