This booklet aims to describe the rationale, procedures and process to develop MMTQS based on The Southeast Asia Regional Standards-Mathematics Teachers (SEARS-MT). MMTQS consists of four dimensions: professional knowledge, professional teaching and learning processes, personal and professional attributes, and professional communities and its respective standards, indicators and local descriptors. This booklet is designed to serve as credible reference document in enhancing mathematics teacher quality for education policymakers, teacher educators and researchers.
