This issue of the Newsletter highlights the milestones we’ve reached in the opening quarter of 2026, which also marks the continued celebration of SEAMEO’s 60th anniversary. It features, among others, our ongoing work in health research and mentorship, multilingual education, gender equity, education initiatives for out-of-school children and youth, teacher advocacies, and innovations from the inquiring minds of high school students. True to SEAMEO’s intention of improving the quality of life in the region, we have drawn on the potential of our diverse talents, priorities, and cultures.

We likewise took notice of the substantial contributions of our stakeholders who share this vision. We present these stories of early breakthroughs wrapped in the form of a project inception, a roadmap launch, project phase completion, publication of research and policy materials from partnerships and dialogues, and an invitation to explore varied opportunity calls. We hope that the progress reflected in these stories, evidence, and policies contributes to a deeper regional understanding of our shared goals and collective work. As you go through this issue’s news and features, we look forward to sustaining the energy we’ve built as we push ahead into the year.
