This resource has been developed to support efforts to ensure that all learners have access to inclusive and quality comprehensive sexuality education (CSE), enabling them to enjoy safe and healthy lives.

Breaking the Silence. Teaching comprehensive sexuality education to learners with disabilities in Southeast Asia, aims to strengthen understanding of how social norms influence the sexual health and well-being of young people with disabilities, enhance educators’ skills and confidence to deliver participatory, learner-centred CSE, and promote continuity of learning across school, home and community settings. Designed for educators and caregivers, this evidence-informed resource supports the delivery of CSE for learners with disabilities in both school and community settings. It comprises four components: (1) a Comprehensive Guide, providing foundational knowledge on disability, sexuality, and CSE; (2) scripted Lesson Plans, offering practical teaching-learning activities; (3) an Adaptation Guide, supporting contextualization for country-specific realities; and, (4) a Caregiver Guidebook, equipping caregivers to support learners’ education on sexuality and their sexual and reproductive health and rights.
