ECCE TCF for SEA is an initiative of UNESCO Bangkok in coordination with SEAMEO Secretariat under the UNESCO-Malaysia Funds-in-Trust Cooperation scheme. It was an output from the Sub-regional workshop on ECCE teacher development in Southeast Asia in Bangkok from 7 to 9 August 2017 when nominated experts on ECCE from 11 countries in Southeast Asia assembled and provided inputs on the draft framework prepared by SEAMEO INNOTECH. Subsequently, the framework was deliberately revised then and endorsed at the SEAMEO High Officials Meeting in 2017 before submitted to the SEAMEO Council for decision by referendum.
